BACKGROUND: With a college degree (Washington University, St. Louis, MO), a master's degree in public health (University of Oklahoma), and 25 years experience in the medical field -- what does a person do with the rest of their life when "downsized" from a fulfilling, great-paying job in health care?
HELP FROM FRIENDS: While sitting at dinner with friends, they asked me: "What do you like to do?" I responded: "I like to run errands, research and find answers to questions, drive in the car, and be creative." With their guidance, I made a drastic career change -- and launched Errands-to-Go Concierge Services in February 2004.
PERSONAL BACKGROUND INFORMATION: My father (Herschel Rubin, MD) was a pediatrician and my mother (Marj Rubin) was a party planner, producer of musical shows and interior designer. I have been married for more than 30 years and raised two children.
EFFORTS: My business helps me utilize my high level of energy, organizational skills and creative talents.
